Salesforce.com Announces Radian6 Social Listening Coverage in China and Russia

Enterprise cloud computing company Salesforce.com has announced new Radian6 social listening coverage in China and Russia, saying that for the first time global brands can now comprehensively listen to conversations and engage with people on the social networks in these countries including Sina Weibo and VKontakte.

 

Users of the social listening application, Radian6, benefit by gaining valuable insight into conversations happening online about their brand, products, competitors and industry, which enables them to respond in real time. Company officials said that the new social listening coverage is going to empower marketers as they will be equipped to handle identify sales leads, discover advocates, uncover social influence and also track sentiment.

There are nearly one billion users on social networks like Sina Weibo and VK.com and it is crucial for multinational brands to listen to every voice, said Michael Lazerow, chief marketing officer of Salesforce marketing cloud at Salesforce.com.

"Through Radian6, marketers will now be able to listen to conversations and engage people on the leading Chinese and Russian social networks to connect in entirely new ways."

Currently, Salesforce Radian6 monitors over 650 million sources globally in 22 languages, including the Twitter Firehose of 400 million tweets per day. The addition of Sina Weibo and VK.com makes Radian6 the first authorized application to provide comprehensive listening of public social media conversations in China and Russia.

Since customers of Radian6 can access sophisticated analytics, they can identify sales leads, implement natural language processing, detect trends for any topic or keyword and uncover social influence and sentiment in 22 languages, including Mandarin Chinese and Russian.

“With customers in more than 160 countries being able to listen to the conversations on Sina Weibo and VK.com with Salesforce Radian6 will help us get a more complete view of the conversation around our brand,” said Rod Strother, director of digital and social centre of excellence at Lenovo.

Salesforce Radian6 real-time listening for Sina Weibo is scheduled to be available by Q4 2013, while Salesforce Radian6 real-time listening for VKontakte (VK.com) is scheduled to be available by Q2 2014

Earlier this year, Salesforce.com launched Service Cloud Mobile, the software product that aims to bring Salesforce's cloud and social tools to mobile devices.
