The Botvac D6 Connected from Neato is new for 2018. Its main novelty is cleaning planning through the display of the floor plan and LaserSmart navigation. Now the robot builds a detailed map of each floor and room in your house so that you can control its movement and indicate where to clean and where not. Unlike the D4 model, the D6 Connected is designed to help pet owners.
The LaserSmart laser sensor gives the robot the ability to scan and display a floor plan of a house even if it has multiple floors. It moves in straight lines instead of chaotic ones, as most robots from other manufacturers do, so it does not miss a single area on the floor. Moreover, thanks to the laser, it will be able to clean even in the dark.
The new No-Go Lines feature in the Neato app lets you set virtual boundaries before entering rooms. In this way, you tell the robot where not to go if you are not walking, so that the robot will touch the valuables on the floor.
